The Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) delineates the country into small unit for a set of enumerators’ to conveniently cover within the Census period. EAD is also referred to the division of the country into manageable units of Enumeration area for the Census exercise. Enumeration Area Demarcation is other known as Census Mapping.

Digital Mapping is the automation of the Enumeration Area Demarcation process, procedure and Deliverables. It is the contemporary method of mapping in the current digital world. It produces base line data for Digital Population and Housing Census which is the UN recommendation for the 2020 round of Census taking all over the World. Other Countries who have undertaken Digital Census in Africa are Ethiopia, Kenya and Ghana.
